This is a personal website of a person of many names. I am a worldbuilder, amateur linguist, and really confused. I also sometimes do miscellaneous other things, relating to various other more minor interests.
A confused mess(who isn't?) of many names. I have a cultural background in both English and Polish culture, having due to school a deep interest in Chinese and Mediterranean Classical cultures too. These have served as major inspirations for my conworlding. I also am a tokiponist, however that has ebbed and flowed across time.
My pronouns are he/they, but also what can I do from stopping you using other ones?
I have a handful of major projects I am working on. The largest one is Asu Delusaje, a worldbuilding projects started in 2019, currently a complex high fantasy setting with lots going on.It is technically part of a collaboration but that doesn't play too great an impact. This is also my main conworld, my main exhaust for ideas.
A part of this project is Byna, which is a scenario in which an archipelago from Asu Delusaje's antiquity gets transported to 1925 Europe, and generally deals with what happens to a country that is modernised at breakneck speeds. Due to its distance and separation from the rest of the project, I generally like to treat it as a distinct entity, but difference without a distinction really.
A newer project I want to work on, without any name yet, is an alternate history where the Bering land bridge never closes. Obviously, it is still a highly isolated and cold region of the world, so steppe nomads occupy the area, notably the Mongols. I think the consequences of that would be cool to explore.
I made this site because why not. It is laid out like this because it's simple, easy, and I'm not that good at html. My fascination with languages just is, probably stems from my relationship with having a heritage language, leading me down this path. I think linguistic cultural diversity is good to have, something I value. Many thoughts on it but that's neither here nor there. Conworlding, the why to that is the fun of being able to emulate a culture, society, languages, as I want and just play around with no consequences. Good escapism, 9/10. Why Broth? Broth is good, broth is tasty and great at metaphors. Why Ban worthy? Pun.
I might sometimes put up some poetry or essays here, because poetry is neat. What language those are in, depends, mostly English unfortunately but who knows. I also like various folk or folk-inspired music, and also Vietnamese and Japanese Pop, alongside Vocaloid, have piqued my interest. Might also put some of that up too just to promote it because I think it's neat.
